INNOVATE 2023 Conference Recap – Back and better than ever!

|

Motivating, Networking, Learning, Growing, Energy!

These are the words Anouska Biswas, Director of Finance of the James Beard Foundation, used to describe INNOVATE 2023; we could not agree more!

In mid-May, JMT Consulting hosted its annual customer conference, INNOVATE 2023.  After a three-year break, registration filled quickly as nonprofit financial executives clamored to participate in the long-awaited event.  Attendees received hands-on training for financial management solutions, attended thought leadership sessions, and enjoyed opportunities to network with their peers.

INNOVATE 2023 started with a welcome reception at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, CT.  Over cocktails and light appetizers, attendees had the opportunity to chat with old friends and make new ones, plus meet with JMT staff members.

INNOVATE 2023 featured four tracks focused on Sage Intacct, Leadership, Accounting Services, and Learning Lab.  More than 25 sessions were presented throughout the event on everything from cloud financials, dynamic allocations, financial reporting, MIP migrations, to advanced reporting.

This year’s conference was a two-day event, plus an additional pre-conference day devoted to hands-on sessions focused on Sage Intacct basic and advanced skills.  The first day of INNOVATE 2023 started with an interesting keynote, “A New Perspective on Success and Impact in the Nonprofit Environment,” by Dr. Rachel Marusarz.  After lunch, Beth Larsen presented “Centering Mission: The Critical Intersection of Finance & Programming.” That evening, the fun continued at the Connecticut Science Center hosted by our friends at Sage Intacct. Attendees enjoyed food and drinks and joined a fun group activity to support the local United Way. The final day wrapped up with a compelling keynote address presented by Dr. “The Power of Mission Driven Stewardship and Leadership in Action.”

So much happened at INNOVATE 2023!  To ensure you’re up-to-date, we’ll publish a series of articles that share highlights from the incredible sessions that took place this year. We will also share some of the technical content through our ongoing EVP Webinar series.  Contact JMT to learn more about the EVP Support program.
