CancerCare

CancerCare is a leading national nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free, professional support services to anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis, including patients, caregivers, loved ones, and the bereaved. Founded in 1944, their comprehensive services are provided by master’s-prepared oncology social workers and include individual and group counseling, resource navigation, specialized educational workshops, and financial and co-payment assistance for cancer-related costs. CancerCare is committed to helping individuals manage the emotional, practical, and financial challenges of cancer to enhance their long-term well-being and quality of life. CancerCare has been a client of JMT since March 2008.

The Africa Center

The Africa Center is a dynamic New York-based organization that serves as a gateway for engagement with contemporary Africa, its Diaspora, and the role of people of African descent globally. Located on Fifth Avenue at the intersection of Harlem and the Museum Mile, the Center’s mission is to transform the world’s understanding of the continent by acting as a hub for the exchange of ideas in three core areas: culture, business, and policy. Through exhibitions, public programs, educational workshops, and high-level forums, The Africa Center inspires enthusiasm, advances thought, and empowers action around Africa’s growing global impact. The Africa Center has been a client of JMT since June 2012.

Grameen America

Grameen America is a non-profit microfinance organization founded in 2008 by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Muhammad Yunus, dedicated to helping low-income entrepreneurial women in the United States build businesses and achieve financial mobility. Leveraging the proven Grameen Bank model, the organization provides affordable microloans (typically starting at no more than $2,500), financial education, and peer support through a group-lending structure, eliminating the need for collateral or prior credit history. Critically, Grameen America reports loan repayments to major credit bureaus, enabling members to establish or improve their credit scores and integrate into the financial mainstream. The organization is a catalyst for economic development, focused on fostering small business ownership and creating wealth-building opportunities in underserved communities. Grameen America has been a client of JMT since February 2014.

Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City

The Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City is a philanthropic and community-building organization dedicated to sustaining and enhancing Jewish life locally, in Israel, and around the world. It serves as the central fundraising and planning body for the Kansas City Jewish community, raising and allocating millions of dollars each year to support a wide range of programs. These programs focus on providing a social safety net for those in need, strengthening Jewish identity and education through services like PJ Library and supporting local schools, and ensuring community security. The Federation partners with numerous local agencies and synagogues to foster a stronger, more vibrant community while also connecting the region to global Jewry, particularly through its work with Israel and overseas initiatives.
