According to Stephen R. Covey, the 7th habit of highly effective people is to ‘Sharpen the Saw’, and we couldn’t agree more.  The more you know, the better and faster the work and the closer you can get to your mission.

You’ve heard us say it a million times, “You need to have the right technology & tools”, but making sure that your staff is engaged, educated and excited about those tools is equally as vital. Simply put, professional development is not a luxury your organization can afford to put off!

In a great article by the Harvard Business Review they mused, ‘Imagine if you worked in a place where the definition of a “good fit” between the person and the job is “she does not yet have all the necessary capabilities to perform the role at a high level, but we will help her to develop them, and when she does she will have outgrown this job, and we will need to find her another.”
